Went up pretty early this morning (everything prior to 7am is really early in my world).
Went to school with a fresh and empty brain, ready to fill it with new information since today was the first lecture in the logistics course that i’m enrolled to. Said and done, i went to school. Once there, I noticed that there were only a total of approx. 3 students in the lecture. Hmm, and no teacher? Weird.
Turns out that the lecture doesn’t start until 10 am. So, here i am, sitting in the library. Fortunately one of the two other students was my nice colleague from Iran so i had someone to hang out with in school!
We went to the library (where we are currently sitting) and doing some last work on my indidual reflections in another course. Only 1 hour left until the lecture starts! .
Then, after that, we’re having a meeting in another course (the case that i wrote about yesterday) and hopefully we will be more or less done with it today. I’ll get back to you guys on this later this evening.
Have a great day!
Today has been a pretty lazy day, just wrote my individual reflection assignemnt in the course Perspective on Industrial Management. Have been falling back in love with Latex and Textmate. This was really nice after having to work with Word the last couple of months in school. Latex looks so much better.
Note to self: Use Latex more!
Tomorrow i will write my part of our third (and last) case in the course. More about that then!
Just watched this:
CBS 60 Minutes – Steve jobs
Check it out. I won’t spoil anything but there’s some interesting stuff here that i didn’t know about him. Isaacson seems to have done a good job. I have his biography on Benjamin Franklin but haven’t had the time to read it yet. Will definately buy his bio on Jobs.
Today the second period started and with that followed two new courses. Today I had the first lecture in a course named Operations and Supply Chain Management. It seems like an interesting course since it deal with different corporate strategies and how they are working together with supply chains. I’ve read the first two chapters of the book (course literature) and it seems pretty good. The book is written by Nigel Slack and looks like this:
My second course starts this Thursday. The course name is Logistics and Supply Chain Management and it deals with Logistics (duh!). More on this after Thursday.
As you might have noticed, the updates on this blog has been anything but frequent lately. My new strategy is to try to update it continuously every day. I’m also aiming at giving you some more information on who I am, what i do and where i plan to go.
The workload the last couple of weeks has been pretty high, unfortunately this blog has suffered. My ambition is that i will be able to update it next week with some info on what’s been taking up most of my time.
Have a nice weekend!
